Good evening ladies and gentlemen (and good day to you too, inhabitants of the other side of the world). As always - this isn't a captain speaking but I come bearing news nonetheless.

It has been brought to my attention today(/night) by our good friend OxfordTweed, that a Chatter Post might work quite well for our fandom.

I'm inclined to agree with him.


As such, here you have a brand-spanking-new post to chatter, Brit-pick, ask questions, debate, gossip, gush and generally indulge in any fannish activity that does not fall under the category of posting or filling prompts. I hope you all enjoy it

The usual guidelines apply, but mostly:

-  Please be respectful to one another.

-  Don't bash other (non)anon's comments/questions/ideas/etc.

-  Have fun

Now go forth, chat amongst yourselves and enjoy. I am of course on stand, so if any problems arise, feel free to drop me a line.

And if you stumble across any plot bunnies here, please just drop them off home at the Prompt-Post, the rest of the herd will be overjoyed to meet them.

Sorry if the poem is rubbish - I literally haven't written one since grade five.

REALLY IMPORTANT ADDENDUM

According to numerous Child Safety laws it is illegal to provide pornographic material to minors. Seeing that the majority of the stuff we have here is rather adult in nature, this Meme is consequently an 18+ zone. Failing to comply to this rule could result in the Meme getting shut down. So if you're here and you're under 18 please back button now.

Please do not post anything regarding minors in a sexual situation. It really doesn't matter how tasteful or crass it is, there are laws that classify that sort of thing as child pornography and as such, I'm afraid we're going to have to go with the attitude that safe is better than sorry.

It really is VERY important that these rules are upheld as the consequences are severe.

Hee, well - I've established my impression of Arthur is totally Alan Davies. Martin is a toughie, I actually sort of have a hard time seeing him as Benedict and tend more towards a short version of Jack Davenport. Carolyn and Douglas, however - they're perfectly suited in my head.

Sorry - I'm just going to fangirl a bit over finding someone who has at least heard of Jack Davenport (anon lives on the wrong side of the world to even identify him via 'you know, he was on that television show' and has to resort to 'he was in Pirates of the Caribbean/Flashforward' resulting in 'oh - him' :( ) Anyway, one second...

Well for me - my head!canon is pretty similar to the promo pick, as I am a fan of all the actors anyway - so it can't be helped. However now I reckon my Martin's going to pick up a few of Davenport's features and Arthur a couple of Alan Davies - thanks for that
As for Carolyn and Douglas - Roger Allam and Stephanie Cole are firmly my head!canon appearancewise :)

Hee. I'm not alone! <3 I'm American, but completely obsessed with certain shows. Hah. I've had to resort to "Pirates of the Caribbean, not Orlando or Johnny." myself. People don't know what they're missing, he's a really great actor.

Mwhaha. I heartily approve of my headcanon spreading like a virus. :P

Yes, OK, it was Pirates for me too, though for him I watched a lot more Coupling than I would have otherwise. (I enjoyed most of it, but it's not my type of show.) ("Let's get squishy!" has stuck in my mind though. :D)

(And now I want Arthur to say "let's get squishy" in some context or other. >.<)

(And if there's anyone who'd have the problem of socks when getting ready to... get squishy, it's Martin.)

Hee. I started with Coupling because I'd caught an episode on BBC America and became absolutely enamored with Jeff (okay, it's safe to say I have a type) but ended up just loving the entire series including Jack.

Hee - I may have to work that into something at some point. That's brilliant!
