Douglas teases and mocks Martin when he finds him most attractive (for instance when he wore the aviator shades) in order to hide it/overcompensate/make himself feel better. Martin finds out and suddenly doesn't mind the teasing so much anymore.

Bonus if Martin is bewildered by the idea of him and Douglas together at first but comes round to liking the idea.
