Douglas sees Martin one day in the park, He doesn't go over to greet him, because it's Douglas' day off and he'd rather have some space.

He watches as Martin picks up a dead bird who suffered a broken neck when some overzealous children threw a rock at it. Martin holds the bird for a few seconds, and it suddenly comes back to life.

Douglas doesn't know what he just saw.
