Douglas does not approve of Martin's Douglas-like boyfriend.

When Martin finally comes out as Gay/Bi (this Anon personally prefers Bi), he does so by introducing his new boyfriend - 18 years his senior, suave and authoritative.

Douglas does NOT approve. Purely because Martin clearly has a lot of Daddy Issues and Douglas can see that this new chap is just taking advantage of that to get himself a bit of youthful eye candy, of course. Douglas is just concerned for his co-worker's wellbeing. And if this new boyfriend bares any resemblance to Douglas, well, Douglas certainly hadn't noticed it, or anything.

Take it where you want - protective friendship, funny-feelings-in-Douglas'-tummy UST or full-on M/D (but I do prefer tentative steps towards a relationship than hurtling straight into declarations of eternal love - up to the filler, though!)
