Yes, another omegaverse prompt. What can I say? I enjoy the males of the fandoms I enjoy having babies. ;D
Anyhoo, on with the prompt!

Such a long prompt, I apologize profusely. D:

Douglas is an omega (ooo, twist!) who has only ever been with betas, except of course, his ex-alpha wife (which, really was a tad of a fluke, as his heat came on earlier than expected whilst in a thankfully, nearly empty pub, save his future alpha wife) that made it possible to have his darling daughter.

Well, now that he's getting on in years (though, spry as ever, thank you very much), he can hear that fertile clock ticking away and realizes that he may only have a couple good heats left. Meaning, Douglas Richardson wants to have another baby before it's too late to do so.

Cue his current beau, the adorable, yet overly frantic, Martin Crieff. . . The beta. The relationship being a bit more new, he brings it up delicately (as delicately as Douglas can) and also brings up that they can choose the alpha donor together, as even though they haven't been together long, he doesn't plan on letting Martin go anytime soon. Martin's reaction surprises him. He doesn't stutter, he doesn't overreact, he doesn't even get a goofy smile at the way Douglas pretty much laid claim over Martin for the long haul. He just gets a look of utter defeat and nods in agreement.

Martin continues this strange behavior of being quiet and despondent for a while, it especially being worse when Douglas brings up anything baby related.

Douglas finally confronts Martin about it (asking if he wants a baby at all and so forth). The result surprising Douglas once again: Martin bursting into tears. After some comforting (and maybe a bit of cuddling and holding), Martin finally answers, which leaves Douglas just speechless:

"I-I know I'm not the ideal mate, a-and I know we haven't been together terribly long. But, but Douglas. . . I would think you'd at least want to have a baby with your own alpha."

SO IN CONCLUSION, LADLES AND JELLY SPOONS:

-Douglas is an omega who wants another baby.
-Martin being Martin, of course gets mistaken as being a beta rather than the alpha he is really quite often, just like with being captain (yes, even his beau Douglas mixes him up, poor Martin)

So, hooray! Hurt/comfort sort of thing a little bit, maybe? I s'pose (Martin feeling crushed for a while that Douglas wouldn't want his baby, you know), hmm??? And lovey dovey feelings, and baby planning, and all that fun shtuff that comes with these type of fics. :D

Also, if someone decides to fill this, well . . . I'd like it if it wouldn't be so . . . Alpha/Omega/Beta world. . . type...y? I hope you know what I mean. Like with omegas being treated like lower class citizens, you know? That bugs me a smidgen with omegaverse (and I know it can be a big part, but lets not have that, shall we?). Like, this fic, I think is a good example: http://archiveofourown.org/works/428462 No one is being forced to do anything and they seem more in their right mind, and . . . yes (I love this fic, it's one of my favorites :D)

Bonus points if Arthur is beyond thrilled about Douglas wanting a baby (and wants to be called 'Uncle Artie' ;D).

And yes. . . You can decide if there be smexy times or not, I'm not picky (they can be fun, of course, yes, but I quite like reading about everything in between as well ;) ).
