Carolyn and Gordon's marital problems started when Arthur enthusiastically announced that he has a boyfriend who's a few years older than him and wants to become a pilot. Carolyn was happy for him, even though she never met the boyfriend, but Gordon flipped out, hired someone to find out as much as about him as possible and then proceeded to force his family to move away, undermine his exams, stop him from getting decent jobs etc.

Years later, Arthur gets the surprise of his life when his first love (that he never quite managed to get over) turns up at the airfield for his first day as the new captain of MJN Air. Things get fluffy. Very fluffy.
