Welcome everybody. How you got here I have no idea but thank you for coming and welcome again, nonetheless . As you may have gathered this is a Fic Prompting Meme dedicated solely to the hilarious and oh-so-addictive BBC Radio 4 sitcom - Cabin Pressure. I'm aiming for this to be pretty anything goes - but in order for everything to run smoothly, there are a few guidelines. Don't worry - they're not too restrictive.


FILLING GUIDELINES



As you probably all know - our meme now has it's very own database created and maintained by the great Enigel. It both catalogues each and every prompt that we post and provides links to fills. You can find it here: Google Spreadsheet

We also have a Pinboard archive which has been put in place by the lovely [personal profile] oxfordtweed in the place of our late Delicious Archive. This Archive contains a list of all the prompts this meme has to offer - you can find it here: Pinboard Archive

This is a great step forward in making our meme just a little more organised (but not too organised of course. This is Cabin Pressure) which is always a good thing.

So in order to make things easier to archive - Please nest your fills.

This can be done by either posting each part as a reply to that part's immediate predecessor, OR by replying each time to Part I OR - well you get the idea :D

It makes it simpler for Enigel and myself to link fills in a clean and clear manner. Following these guildelines will be very much appreciated guys :D

Reprompting is allowed but please include the URL of the original prompt when you do so. It will make it infinitely more easy to Archive which would make both Enigel and I very happy :)

As for everything else



  1. Be respectful to one another. Disagreements are fine, but not everything disagreeable is trolling. If you suspect someone of trolling, just ignore it. If you cannot respond to a comment without attacking or trolling someone else, keep it to yourself.

  2. No bashing prompts. It might not be your cup of tea - but obviously someone wants it enough to go to the effort of requesting it. So just scroll past it.

  3. Prompt away as much as you like guys - seriously, go wild - but please try to fill as well.

    4. NEW - If your fill includes a major element that veers from the original prompt (crossovers, established universes, kinks, et cetera), please take a few moments to check with the OP that such additions are welcome. My favorite episode is Douz, and it happens to have one of my favorite moments.

So... that's your prompt. Little moments of teasing domesticity between Martin and Douglas. Whether they're in a relationship or just close is up to you. :)

It's a beautiful sight, really it is, Martin's lips pink and soft, his tongue a rough swirl of friction in the hot cavern of his mouth. It's a mouth Douglas is all too familiar with, though it's usually curling around tiresome regulations and SOPs. It's a mouth that really never shuts up, but yet it's pretty none the less, especially when it can be induced to actually smile about something. It's a mouth Douglas is familiar with for all sorts of reasons, but it is ever at its best when it's like this- wet and hot and blessedly silent because it is wrapped luxuriously around Douglas's cock.

They're holed up in the cockpit, day wasted on stand-by, but still there's no hint of boredom because Martin is good at this. Really, frighteningly good. If he were half as good at flying as he is at sucking Douglas off he'd be Air Chief Marshal of the bloody world by now. Could I have a fic where one of Martin's classmates - turned multi-million-pound-earning businessman is in need of MJN Air's transport services.

All's well until the man finally arrives, and recognizes Martin. The flight goes without a hitch but once they land - he insists he take them all out to dinner. Carolyn - seeing an opportunity to save money on food for her crew (she's a mother, they all know how much dinner adds up in the end :D) and agrees for all of them.

That's when the man turns vicious. Belittling Martin, going on and on about how nobody in their school really liked him all that much - how they all thought he'd just spend the rest of his days working as a plumber with his dad.

And Martin just takes it all.

But the others don't. I want Carolyn and Douglas and yes - even Arthur to go BAMF on the bastard and make Martin realize that he actually does have people that care about him.

And if you want to add sexy times afterward (I don't know how, but if you can work it) I sure wouldn't mind all that much at all. But please don't feel that this is an obligation. All I need is the hurt/comfort - because I'm sort of a slut that way :D

So, Supernatural fandom has collectively agreed that the Winchesters' car that Dean loves like crazy (the 1967 Impala) loves him back - there have been fics from the Impala's PoV. (There have also been some in which she turns into a human woman, temporarily, and has mad crazy sex with Dean.)

Can we get something like that for Cabin Pressure? Gertie-the-plane thinking fondly of Martin and the rest of the crew (but especially Martin)? Or Gertie as a girl who shows up in Martin's life?

"I thought I told you to leave that dog alone!"

"Aw, but Mum…"

A stray sits on the galley floor, light brown fur clumped and matted, its eyes large and pathetic. There's not a question why Arthur is so keen to take care of it. "No buts. That mutt is disgusting and I will not have it on my plane, especially not when it's going to play host to twelve wonderful, paying customers in half an hour's time. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Mum." The disappointment is heavy on his tongue as he lets the dog out of the plane (not without first slipping it a snack or two). It takes all of his willpower to ignore the scratching and guttural moans, but after a moment or so they fade away.

For the rest of the day, Arthur sulks. It isn't until Carolyn offers him first crack at the cheese tray on the return trip ("Martin and Douglas mustn't hear of this!") that he cheers up.

Four

When Arthur thinks he's being discreet, in actuality he's being very obvious. This is why it takes Martin all of two seconds to ask, "What the bloody hell is that?" when he walks into the flight deck.

"What is what? I've no idea what you're talking about," Arthur replies, his voice stilted; the lie is made even more obvious when there's a scuffling heard in the closet behind him, followed by a low pitched whimpering. "Oh, damn. Please don't tell Mum about this. I just want-"

"Don't tell Mum about what?" Carolyn pops her head around the corner to glare at Arthur. "What are you hiding?"

"Nothing-" He starts to say, but it happens again; a scratching, and then more whimpers, this time sounding even more desperate. "Oh come on, Mum! We just have one passenger this time, I'm sure they won't mind it!"

But Carolyn's face says all, and Arthur knows better than anyone not to argue with her. Begrudgingly, he lets the dog out - dingy white, with bright blue eyes - and watches it run off to hide underneath a baggage van.

Somewhat inspired by nemo_everbeing's wonderful fic "Tiny Bottles of Vodka" (http://cabinpres-fic.livejournal.com/728.html?thread=44248#t44248):
Douglas/Martin. Martin is gay and he's experienced (well, probably not *that* much, as it's Martin), Douglas has never kissed/made out with/had sex with another man before.
I'd love someone to tackle the issue of typically-awkward-yet-experienced!Martin vs typically-cocky-yet-inexperienced!Douglas.

Strongly seconded! I'd love to read this.

(I was thinking about the, uh, mechanics, and I came to the conclusion that it's not very likely that Douglas has never performed anal sex before - since that's far from being a male/male only thing. It's very likely that he's never been on the receiving end, though. And while he must have got countless blowjobs, he's probably never given one himself [to a man].)

Carolyn arranging a marriage between Martin and Douglas.

No, I have no idea why, but I want it. Maybe there's some kind of benefit or something? IDK, I just want Carolyn going around all 'You MUST get married, or I'll fire you!'

In Douz, Douglas strips down to play rugby with the passengers, so I want Douglas playing in his spare time and Martin is embarrassed to find he likes watching Douglas being athletic and getting all sweaty.

Up to you if Douglas notices Martin and if he does anything about it or not. ;)

Can we have Arthur's dad showing up. Please let him be a right bastard that makes Carolyn angry/miserable/stressed and constantly puts Arthur in the middle of it all (I mean what was with that phone call in Fitton? making him promise to give Carolyn that message that he knew was going to upset/anger her.)

And please let Douglas and Martin either stand up for them or try to cheer them up afterwards...or both - actually, both would be best :D

Basically, another one of those brilliant - this is a family not a business fics, cose they make me happy inside :D

I'd love a fic where Carolyn finds out about Martin/Douglas. whether they sit her down and tell her or if she catches them in a compromising position is up to you.

Bonus if one of the first things she says is 'At least i wont have to fork out for separate hotel rooms now' :P
